Srinagar, Jul 26 (KNO): 'Taleem se Taraqee', with this inspiring theme, a significant stride was taken Saturday towards securing a brighter future for the youth of Kashmir, particularly the students of North Kashmir. The Indian Army, in collaboration with the District Administration of Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora organised "North Kashmir Education Fest-2025" at Subhan Sports Stadium, Sopore. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the objective of the event was to provide an opportunity-rich platform to students to avail higher education avenues in premier institutions across the country. Reputed colleges and universities from across India participated in the event and enabled the students in selecting suitable courses and academic streams aligned with their aspirations, Students received insights into a wide array of academic fields including business, science, engineering, humanities, arts and social sciences. Additionally, scholarships worth Rs 3 Crore were announced by participating colleges to support meritorious students from underprivileged and tribal backgrounds. As a major milestone in fostering a progressive environment in the Valley, the event reflected the collaborative efforts of the Indian Army, civil administration and the Awam in promoting educational empowerment. The fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 3000 students, who benefited from focused and aptitude based valuable career guidance. The aspiring youth were also made aware about the opportunities available for joining the Indian Army through the 'Know Your Army' campaign. As education is the cornerstone of a peaceful and prosperous future, this Indian Army initiative stands as a testament to that belief. Steering the youth towards knowledge and self-reliance, this small step has been hailed by the local populace as one of the major building blocks for 'Naya' Kashmir—(KNO)
